A 'hands-on' training workshop for Simergy, a new, free graphical user interface for EnergyPlus
The workshop will cover the main features of Simergy:
- management of design alternatives
- import of building geometry from CAD,
- rapid internal creation of geometry and schedules,
- drag and drop component-based HVAC
- libraries and templates
- results visualization
Each participant should bring a laptop computer with the latest version of Simergy installed, which will be down-loadable from simergy.lbl.gov. A laptop with a high resolution screen is recommended - preferably 1600x900 or better.
The instructor will be Philip Haves of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, who leads the public/private partnership that develops Simergy.
